Cheers to dreaming big.What is it?Our Brewing Innovation Trainee will start together with all other Supply Management Trainees & Global Management Trainees; though, has a specific passion for brewing. Hence, if you are interested in a career in brewing, product/process innovation & technology development, etc., this is a perfect start!During this 14-months brewing traineeship, you will discover the brewing world and gain hands-on experience in all brewing-related processes for different kinds of new products & technologies developed in Z/GITEC (Zone/Global Innovation & Technology Center).You will also take the lead in special assignments and side-projects in the Pilot Brewery on various aspects in quality, safety, efficiency, communication, etc.What does it include?In the first 2 months, you and the other Supply Management Trainees will receive a general overview of the way of working in some of our Belgian breweries and will be able to work on short-term assignments in these breweries. This introduction period will be followed by a 12-month hands-on brewing training and working experience, together with the technicians and management team of the Research Pilot Brewery in Leuven.You won't just be observing, but you'll get hands-on experience and learn how to brew, including the creation of brew recipes, milling of raw materials, initiating tank cleaning, performing quality checks, etc.You will be able to turn the obtained theoretical knowledge into practice within our Pilot Brewery, which will provide a huge learning potential beneficial throughout your further career within the Supply organization of AB InBev.You'll also be able to build your leadership, project and general management skills.You'll get more insights in the technical & practical challenges of our business and will have the opportunity to improve or solve them.Who are we looking for?We believe that a world with more cheers means equality across the business. To drive change and deliver results to help us create a future with more cheers.Education:To be eligible for the SMT with brewing focus, you'll need to have graduated in a study related to brewing before August 2023 with a Masters (or equivalent) degree in:Bio Engineering - with option Brewing and/or Brewing coursesFood/Bio Science - with option Brewing and/or Brewing coursesEngineering Technology - with option Brewing and/or Brewing coursesYou are:Fluent in English (written and spoken)Knowledgeable in speaking and understanding Dutch/French (note: this is not a must, but an additional benefit when going to some of our Belgian breweries in the first 2 months of the general SMT program)InnovativeProactive and enthusiasticResult-drivenFlexible and communicativeAble to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical skillsHands-on and interested in doing practical operations (milling, brewing, cleaning of tanks, ...)Analytical and a problem-solverAble to present learnings in an understandable and structured wayAble to potentially lead a team and projects on zone/global levelPlease note you will need a valid visa/work permit for Belgium.
